Tattoo Aftercare

Leave the traditional bandage on for at least 2 hours, more if specified by the artist. Tegaderm can be left on for 3 days. DO NOT REBANDAGE!

Once removed wash thoroughly with a scent-free bar soap in warm water… DO NOT SCRUB! Pat dry your tattoo with a soft towel and air dry for 15 minutes…

Lotion your tattoo with a fragrance-free lotion (Aveeno, Curell, etc.). Be sure to rub ALL the lotion into the tattooed surface thoroughly… DO NOT CAKE the lotion on.

    1. Be sure to wash your hands and tattoo before applying lotion (Remember: pat and air dry)
    2. Lotion your tattoo as instructed by your artist until completely healed (2 to 4 weeks).

DO NOT PICK at or SCRATCH the tattooed surface for any reason whatsoever!

DO’NT SOAK the tattoo in water (E.g. baths, lakes, pools, hot tubs) or expose it to direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks.

AT FIRST SIGN OF INFECTION SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION.

If deemed necessary, one free touch-up appointment will be granted within 3 months of receiving the tattoo.
